Baby elephants are often offered to Gods in Thailand – people regard them as the most important offer they could provide. Many pilgrims refer to themselves as ‘baby elephants’ or “ลูกช้าง” meaning a vehicle or a servant of the Gods. What we don’t see is the hidden messages within each baby elephant. What is the person asking for? Is it their dreams, their comfort or their despair? Do they believe that Gods will grant them these wishes or are they just hoping for reassurance?
Nino created a hundred of handmade porcelain baby elephants installed as offerings to Ganesh. Like pilgrims, the look on the outside is deceiving. They each look similar, cute and reassuring, even though each has their own small differences. Now look more deeply, on the inside, to see the reasons they are offered.

Why do you ask Gods to do things for you? Are you waiting for Gods’ miracle? Or are you going to strive to make your dreams become reality?
